What services do you offer?
Demolition and dirt work, start to finish. We tear down houses, garages, barns and outbuildings and haul off the debris, then handle what comes next: excavation and dirt work, grading and pad building, lot clearing for new builds, gravel driveways, and retaining walls — a Bankhead specialty for decades.
Do you do residential or commercial work?
The schedule is built around residential work — homeowners, lake places, and lots being cleared for new houses. Scott has taken on major commercial demolition, including a 200,000 square foot Hot Springs high school brought down in five weeks, so a big garage or an old barn isn't going to scare anybody. If you have a commercial job in mind, call and we'll talk it through straight.
Who actually shows up to do the work?
Scott. This is an owner-operated outfit — the man who looks at your job and quotes it is the man in the machine. Contract trucks and drivers handle the hauling, and Scott runs the demolition and dirt work himself, the way he has since 1994.
How do estimates work?
They're free, and they happen at the job, not over the phone. Demolition and dirt prices live in details you can't see from a phone call — what the structure is made of, access for machines and trucks, how much has to be hauled and how far. We come look, then give you a straight number.
What happens to all the debris?
It leaves. Loading and haul-off are part of the job — trucks are part of the operation, not a separate contractor you have to find. When we're done, you have a clean lot or a build-ready pad, not a rubble pile.
Do I need a permit to tear down a house?
Usually there's paperwork, and it varies by city and county — Hot Springs, the Village, Benton and the county each run it their own way. Ask when you call and we'll tell you what applies to your address and what has to happen with utilities before a teardown.
